Dear Congessman Olver

Dear Congressman Olver,
Please let me know if you are willing to prioritize safe access to medicinal marijuana for patients in Massachusetts. I am suffering and I need a real response from you. I represent so many people whose lives you could relieve of terrible anguish if you resolve to put this issue at the top of your to do list soon. H.R. 2160 has languished in committee long enough. A national coalition of doctors, medical researchers, patients, human rights advocates and law enforcement personell supports the compassionate repeal of marijuana prohibition. I know that you yourself understand and sympathize with the desperate need of patients for legal access to one the safest remedies we can obtain. Many of us have exhausted the benefits of pharmaceutical palliatives and live in constant grinding pain. For me, even ibuprofen, since I've been on NSAIDs for so long, can cause a flare of side effects so virulent I'm literally torn between one form of agony and another. If you have any friends or relatives who suffer from either (or both!) of the conditions I live with, ankylosing spondylitis and fibromyalgia, you know that their pain is real. if I was your relative, would you just let me suffer? Please recognize my plight and tell me if you care enough to let my doctor and me opt for a simple, gentle, botanical remedy which has been proven safe and effective for patients like me.
